Ugh, I did the exact same thing. A parent was angry about one of their child's teachers. She was admittedly terrible. I wanted to be sure to spell her name correctly and typed it in the cc line and then hit send to the parent. I did not help that situation at all.

It has been really fascinating how many people have told me they did this. Hard to repair a relationship after that.
